CMX Weapons/Forms: These divisions allow competitors to showcase movements from both traditional and contemporary martial arts styles. Gymnastics is allowed.

Traditional Weapons: These divisions are defined as an event involving an individual performing a pre-arranged series of movements that include the use of a clearly identified weapon

Traditional Forms: This is an exciting new head to head, bracket style division. These Divisions are defined as an event involving an individual performing a pre-arranged series of empty-handed movements without music.

Double Elimination Point Sparring: point sparring is a tournament-style competition where participants score points by delivering controlled, precise strikes to designated target areas, emphasizing technique and speed.

Although you do not have to be a member for this Inaugural event, it is highly recommended since you will get the benefits of AAU Insurance.

What are the difference between USA Sport Karate events and AAU EVENTS?

Besides, some age groups, extreme and creative will combine into CMX and most traditional forms divisions will become Bracketed instead scored. This will create a very exciting head to head competition
